PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE ADOPTING A PUPPY ... From us or anyone else
Why do some people's puppies cost more than others? Consider what you are paying for when adopting a puppy, who ever you get it from. The breeder or shelter is not making a 100% profit from the puppy, or are they? We have to care for our adult dogs their entire lifetime. It may cost a lot, or for some people, not much of an investment at all. Also there are the costs that comes with raising your puppy to wenaing age. Our dogs are our pets and we take every effort to make sure they are happy and healthy. Shots, toys, treats, clean blankets and living area, food, paperwork expense, and the time and effort taken to make sure that all possible hazzards are avoided. As well as regular vet check ups and dental cleaning, and accidents or illnesses. Not to mention the time involved in each task... not everyone is that way. If you find a puppy that costs conciderably less than most, ask yourself why. It is probably that the owner hasnt invested a lot of money or effort to raise them, or they are desperate to get rid of the puppy for some ill reason. Poor quality perhaps? If that is the kind of puppy you are willing to invest in, thats your choice. But if you are looking for a quality puppy, from a reputable person, expect to pay what the puppy is worth. You get what you pay for. There are good reputable breeders out there. Experience and integrity are priceless, and sometimes hard to come by. If you would like us to recomend or give references on another breeder, we will be happy to as long as it is someone we know of. Do Not take a puppy home because you feel sorry for it! You are only supporting and encouraging that person to continue to raise ill quality puppies. USE COMMON SENSE!
Who ever you are considering as the person raising your new puppy, ask as many questions as you need to to feel comfortable. Most people that are honest will be willing to answer any question you have because they have nothing to hide. Ask to see the parents, the paperwork or the photos of the place where they are raised. If anyone isnt willing to do that, it should be a red flag for you. We try to update the parents photos at least once a year so you can see that they are still just as beautiful as when they were younger. Not many do that, or are willing to photo themselves, or their home, or kennel facility. Ask for those photos if you feel that the person is questionable and an important factor for you.
Our primary goal is to help rehome as many unwanted small breed dogs as possible. With that goal must come financial rescources. Our adoption fees are assest with the expectation of recovering what was already spent monetarily on that dog, not including time and effort for care. And if possible, a little extra to aid in the mainenace of the facility where they are kept until going home. Some of these dogs will be here for up to a year in order to give them a solid foundation of training and trust.
Some rescue dogs will need training and socialization before going home. That seems to be the key to many dogs inability to stay in a home... the average person is unable to properly train them. Or does not understadn that breed's necessities. So with that said, they are often times rewarded with good behavior by being integrated into our home from their wuarentine home until their forever family comes to adopt them. That way, they are familiar with home life, and have a basic understanding of house training, responding to their names, and familiarity of the rules of living in a human home. That and becoming trusting of other humans in order to transend into their new homes with ease.
Because this is not free, we do have to continue to offer puppies as a sorce of financial aid to these dogs. All of these dogs and puppies are cared for with a genuin love for the dog, and come backed by over 25 years experience with raising mini schnauzers, no other dog breed. We do have a very nice house and yard for any rescue and shelter dogs that do need to be quarentined or kept initially seperated. And all dogs will be socialized and trained, and know what it is like to be in a loving home. They are treated like our own pets until time to leave. Ask for photos of anything here that you are curious about.
Each dog will be current on shots & worming, flea treatment and anything that is necessary with the supervision and recomendation of our vet. Each will come with their current food, adoption paperwork, a health certificate for shipping, vaccination record, and anything else that belongs to that dog while he was here. As well as up to date information on where that dog is in terms of training, or likes and dislikes.
Estimated size, coat quality, type, show quality, breeding quality of each puppy will be an estimate from experience and past puppies, and is not guaranteed. We raise schnauzers as pets and for our pleasure, nothing more is ever implied.
But you can be assured that your puppy is garanteed from debilitating or fatal genetic defects that will affect your dogs quality of life. Each puppy will be vet checked within 24-48 hours of flying home to you. You must take your puppy to your vet for his first wellness check up within the first week of receiveing him for this garantee to be valid. Contracted diseases, environmental issues, parasites, or elective surgery complications as well as shipping and vet costs are not included in this garantee. You will have a copy of our guarantee in your puppy pack.
Last but not least, your puppy/dog will also come with our lifetime support. If you have any questions, problems, or comments we will make every effort to help you, call us anytime. And we love to get photos & updates of our adult puppies! These puppies come from our heart to yours. We feel we will be a part of your family from now on, and will always love to hear from you in the future. Like we said, its not a job, we have them because we love them and we love to see people have a happy puppy experience!
